NITROX-F-VERSATILE COMBINATION OF NATURAL AMMONIA BINDER AND SYNTHETIC NITRITE OXIDIZER

Composition: Nitrox-F contains natural saponins and powerful oxidizers in an inert carrier.

Overview: Ammonia is a nitrogenous compound commonly found in aquaculture ponds, arising from improper breakdown of proteins, nitrogenous materials in feeds, dead algae, and fish excreta settling at the pond bottom. Ammonia becomes toxic to fish and shrimp when levels exceed 1 PPM, and nitrites, derived from under-oxidized ammonia, further exacerbate toxicity. Nitrox-F addresses these issues by preventing ammonia and nitrite formation, converting nitrites into nitrates, and promoting phytoplankton growth in ponds. Toxicity peaks during late afternoon and early evening due to increased excretion and inadequate microbial flora at pond bottoms.

Toxic Levels: Ammonia levels above 0.1 PPM can lead to skin, eye, gill, and internal organ damage, with toxicity generally recognized between 0.53 – 22.8 PPM.

Effects of Ammonia/Nitrites on Fish/Shrimp:

  • Poor flavor and increased susceptibility to disease and stress.
  • Decreased pond oxygen levels.

Benefits of Nitrox-F:

  • Saponins and polysaccharides in Thionox efficiently bind ammonia and toxic gases while promoting beneficial bacteria growth in ponds.
  • Powerful oxidizing agents in Thionox convert ammonia and nitrites into nitrates, beneficial for plankton nutrition.
  • Combines saponins and oxidizing agents to rapidly reduce ammonia levels, alleviating fish and shrimp from toxicity.

Dosage: Apply 200-500 grams per acre with a pond depth of 1 meter once a month or as advised by an aquaculture consultant.

Application: Mix the required Nitrox-F dosage with 100-200 kgs of sand and evenly distribute over the pond in the morning.

Availability: Available in 0.5 kg pouches.
