MUDPOND TECHNOLOGY (MPAT)/EARTHEN POND FOR FRESHWATER AND MARINE FISHERIES

Generally Extensive and Semi-Intensive method of  Aquaculture is planned in Mud/Earthen Ponds, where natural ecosystem of the mud pond is optimally exploited to raise any aquatic species. This method is practiced where the cost of land is less and water supply is in abundance. Low on capital costs but requires proper Biosecurity measures and water drain facilities.
