Infizyme BS is a unique blend of microbes and enzymes designed to reduce BOD/COD in STPs and provide clean and safe water for reuse. Sewage is rich in organic matter and often has high levels of ammonia, phosphates, sulfur compounds, along with fats, oils, and grease. Most of the COD and BOD in sewage are due to organic compounds of biological origin. The success of the sewage treatment process largely depends on the speed of microbial growth and the degradation profile of the bioculture.

 

Effective sewage treatment requires an inoculum of microbes along with factors for the growth of microscopic arthropods, fungi, and algae, which work symbiotically to degrade the organic compounds in the sewage. Microbes in Infizyme BS multiply rapidly compared to native bacteria in sewage. They break down complex polymers like proteins, fats, grease, and carbohydrates into smaller monomers. These monomers are quickly consumed by bacteria as food.

 

Apart from a rapid growth rate and a broad degradation profile for sewage, the bioculture in Infizyme BS differs from other bacteria in one critical aspect. Infizyme BS contains natural microbes that produce effective bacteriostatic substances against gram-negative pathogens in the sewage. These bacteria are natural producers of antagonistic substances against pathogens, significantly reducing pathogen count in sewage.
